Our involvement in Vintage Adventure is an important part of how we connect with and serve our local community. This welcoming, dementia-friendly group in Thatcham brings people of all ages together to enjoy friendship, shared activities and informal worship.

Through singing, conversation, creative activities and simply spending time together, our pupils experience the joy of building meaningful relationships across generations.

Vintage Adventure is led by Churches Together in Thatcham and provides a safe, inclusive space where everyone is valued. Pupils who take part grow in confidence, empathy and social awareness. They learn how small acts—such as listening, chatting or offering encouragement—can make a real difference to others.

This work is a living example of our vision to encourage one another and build each other up. By taking part, pupils develop compassion, a sense of responsibility and pride in making a positive contribution to their community.
